Mico is a Brazilian photographer, based in London. This image is from his ‘The Faces of Standing Rock’, that captures the water protectors of the Sioux reservation lands in North Dakota. The images show the indigenous people of the region who oppose the construction of a pipeline across their homelands.

These images fit Art X Peace’s mission, as they are an homage to resilience and the power of individuals against injustice.
