Varenka is a Los Angeles-based artist and curator.

“This image was taken in the fall of 2020 on my way from NYC to LA. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we left our NY nest searching for new opportunities. When I look at this image, I am reminded of those transition moments in which we leave behind part of who we are. It’s a reflection on the passing of time, and a natural order where the trees get back their leaves after the cold winter.”
