El renacer de Pentesilea ll

$100.00

A print by Paula Blanco.

Paula Blanco was born in the north of Spain (Oviedo), where she currently resides and works as a painter and illustrator in her workshop.

She studied Fine Arts at the University of Salamanca and graduated in 2020, year in which she hosted her first solo exhibition, "Trasudores", and published her first book, Qué vergüenza haber nacido, with Penguin Random House. She recently came back from an art residency in Dubai.

Paula has always been interested in the representation of the human body, but it was not until she saw Dorothea Tanning ́s “Tranformations” at the Reina Sofía Museum that it became pivotal to her art. Since then, she delved into surrealist literature guided by Artaud and Bataille. Each new influence has led her to what is now the center of her work, the Eros.
